Our Methods

It isn’t easy . . .
As a leader/administrator in missions, you are very aware of the challenges involved.
Our focus is to provide comprehensive teaching content, translation guidelines, microfinance savings group guidelines, guidance on engaging community leaders, savings group recordkeeping resources, and more. Development professionals and organizations can optionally subscribe to GSI’s Savings Groups Tracking & Management software to closely monitor and track performance of impact to the savings group beneficiaries.

By providing structure to help members work together and save money, savings groups help those afflicted in poverty become the solution to their own financial problems. As savings accumulate, members can take out small loans to start or expand businesses, or to help provide for their needs during hard times.
More importantly, the ongoing Bible-based teaching profoundly impacts group members. In some places around the world where savings groups operate, people hear the Gospel for the first time at their regular savings group meetings.

Savings Groups Tracking and Monitoring Software program

The software is a powerful tool to help managers and overseers understand how program beneficiaries are using Savings Groups. Graphs, maps and excel or PDF reports showing statistics like how many groups and members are in the program, meeting attendance, program dropouts, how dedicated the group facilitators are in teaching, GPS coordinates on maps display where the groups are operating, all group financial statistics, and much more.
Subscribing to the software is optional and not required however once programs are operating for a few years, the software may add significant value to the churches and development professionals ability to effectively manage a savings group program.  Good Steward International will provide an online demonstration of the software to those interested.
